This Sunday, November 9, we'll welcome our final guest speaker in our fall formation series “Problems of Mass Incarceration & Sentencing in Alabama." Lisa Borden has thirty years of experience in private practice focused primarily on civil rights litigation and human rights advocacy, She now serves as Senior Policy Counsel for International Advocacy at the Southern Poverty Law Center. In this role, she works to bring the SPLC’s core civil and human rights concerns to the attention of international human rights bodies and to advocate for stronger U.S. implementation of its international human rights obligations.
