Saint Andrew’s Blanket Drive

For over three decades, the members and friends of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church have hosted an annual holiday fundraiser to provide blankets for those in our community who are most vulnerable. Thanks to your generosity, more than 6,000 blankets have been distributed to date.

In recent years, we extended our outreach to include clients and guests of Community Kitchens, Grace by Day, Grace Food Pantry, The Abbey, and the children of  Jefferson County DHR families. We’ve also provided blankets to people living with AIDS, along with a little lagniappe—a New Orleans term for “something extra”—for these individuals and their families.

Your financial contributions, no matter the amount, or offers to help with the procurement, preparation, and distribution of these items, are deeply appreciated. Please consider supporting this project by making checks payable to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church with "Blanket Drive" in the memo line.

If you're interested in volunteering to help with blanket distribution, please contact St. Aelred’s Guild by contacting Tommy McGlothlin at jtmcglothlin4@yahoo.com.
